Hancock Shaker Village is an outdoor history museum of Shaker life on 1,200 acres in the scenic Berkshire Hills of western Massachusetts. Its twenty original buildings and historic working farm and gardens preserve and interpret the life of America’s most successful communitarian society. The third of 19 Shaker communities established in New England, New York, Ohio, Kentucky and Indiana in the late 18th and early 19th centuries, Hancock was home to members of the communal, religious society from 1783 to 1960. It became an outdoor history museum in 1960. Today its buildings, collections and programs interpret three centuries of Shaker life and work, with activities which appeal to visitors of all ages.

We're an anachronism - a throwback to the days when real DJs picked out the music, and listeners expected something more from a radio station than just a couple of hundred songs repeated over and over, with some "big voice" guy yelling about how great it all is. We're also — to the amazement of all of the radio "professionals" who make the rules we thumb our noses at — very successful, though we try not to let it go to our heads.

WGLT 89.1 FM: News, Blues and Jazz Radio
WGLT is a National Public Radio affiliate licensed to Illinois State University serving Central Illinois at 89.1 FM and in the Peoria area at 103.3 FM.

WREK 91.1FM is the student owned and operated Georgia Tech radio station, broadcasting 24/7 at 91.1 FM with 40,000 Watts of power into Atlanta's atmosphere, and streaming MP3 onto the Internet (running 7-day archive, too!).

KUSP 88.9 FM is the community-supported NPR affiliate in Santa Cruz, CA. Airing NPR shows as well as local ones, the website features national news reports, local weather, and local events listings.

William and Carla Coleman have written, directed and featured in a variety of historic and contemporary productions for the stage. They have been lecturing and performing throughout the United States since 1991, and continue to produce recorded collections of period and original music,punctuated by readings from the Civil War.

The Swannanoa Gathering
A wonderful series of week long summer workshops in various folkarts held on the campus of Warren Wilson College near Asheville in the heart of North Carolina's beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains. Each week also features public concerts.

Themes this summer include:
Cherokee Heritage Weekend, Celtic Week, Dulcimer Week, Sing Swing & String Week, Old-Time Music & Dance Week, Performance Lab, Contemporary Folk Week, and Guitar Week.
